Who We Are
Kirsten Albrecht
M.S., P.T., C.P.I.
Kirsten received her B.S. degree in physical therapy from Ithaca College in 1989, and an Advanced Master's degree in orthopedic physical therapy from Quinnipiac University in 1995. She became orthopedic board certified by the A.P.T.A. in 1996 and Pilates certified on the comprehensive rehab track from Polestar Education in 2004. Prior to opening P.T.P.R. in 2004, she worked in acute care at Yale New Haven Hospital for ~ 4 years and at an outpatient orthopedic clinic in New Britain, CT. for ~ 14 years. She mostly provides physical therapy care at P.T.P.R., but also teaches Pilates mat and Reformer classes at her facility as well as off-site at the ESPN wellness center.
Kirsten is particularly trained and interested in treating lower extremity biomechanical injuries, including the prescription of custom orthotics. She is also specialized in the treatment of spinal conditions with manual therapy and the use of the Pilates method of strengthening, and has over 25 years of experience treating a wide variety of orthopedic diagnoses, both non-surgical and post-surgical.

Alyssa Hackett
D.P.T.
Alyssa is a native of CT, but received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2012 from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. Upon completion she returned to CT and has been a full time employee at P.T.P.R. since. She received her comprehensive Pilates instructor training with BASI Pilates and has completed a holistic nutrition certification.
She has a passion for women’s health and wellness that has been amplified through her own experiences and motivated her to become a pregnancy and postpartum corrective exercise specialist. She enjoys incorporating Pilates into her treatment programs along with a variety of manual techniques with emphasis on optimizing functional movement for a wide array of orthopedic conditions for all ages.

Diane Spinelli
Office Manager
Diane joined PTPR in 2004 as the office manager and has over 20 years of experience working in other physical therapy and medical facilities.
She has extensive knowledge of our physical therapy contracts, medical coding, and physical therapy authorization and billing procedures. Thanks to Diane, the majority of our patients can use their medical insurance for our physical therapy services.
